The service
aquariumtools provides free aquarium calculators (tank volume, water change, fertilization, CO₂ concentration) and an optional account with a tank journal for keepers of freshwater, marine, and shrimp aquariums. The calculators are free to use and require no account.
Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You can close your account at any time.
Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- use it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
- disrupt or overload the service, or interfere with its security features;
- upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add to the service, including your tanks, journal entries, measurements, and uploaded photos. By adding content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you submit.
Calculators and information - no professional advice
The calculators and any information on the site are provided for general guidance only. They are based on standard formulas and your inputs, and results may not fit every situation. They are not a substitute for professional or veterinary advice. Aquarium keeping involves living animals and chemicals: always double-check critical values and act carefully. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the calculators or other content.
Availability and "as is"
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate for your specific case.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, livestock, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute relating to the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
